ZAS!Jobs & Ideafoster: Partners Driving the Digital Transformation of Human Resources in the Tourism Sector

In early 2022, the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism launched the innovative “Digitalization and Intelligence Program for Destinations and the Tourism Sector.” This ambitious initiative, backed by the European Union under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), is focused on accelerating the digital transformation of the tourism industry—one of the cornerstones of the Spanish economy.

A key highlight of this plan is the “last mile” grant program, designed to drive innovative technology projects in SMEs, micro-SMEs, and sector associations. This is where Ideafoster comes in with full strength.

At Ideafoster, we’ve had the privilege of collaborating with ZAS! Jobs to develop an intelligent recruitment platform that leverages artificial intelligence (AI) to transform hiring processes in the tourism sector. Together, we’re simplifying and modernizing recruitment so that SMEs can access talent more efficiently.

 

Transforming the Tourism Sector through Digitalization


In August 2023, Spain welcomed over 10 million international tourists. Yet, human resource management in the tourism sector remains largely manual and traditional. To address this, the PRTR has set out a roadmap for modernization, promoting digitalization in key areas. Within this framework, the Tourism Sector Modernization and Competitiveness Plan, backed by the European Union, is driving the digital evolution of both tourism businesses and destinations.

 

 

ZAS! Jobs: Digitalizing Recruitment


ZAS! Jobs  is a human resources company that uses an AI-powered system to connect businesses with candidates quickly and effectively. The platform gives SMEs and micro-enterprises the opportunity to optimize their recruitment processes—an essential need in the tourism sector, where hiring is still often manual and largely based on traditional methods such as word of mouth and handing out printed CVs.

With ZAS! Jobs, companies can save time through an initial automated candidate filter and the creation of a digital talent pool. The entire process—from posting a job offer to final selection—is seamless and fully accessible from mobile devices, making it easy to use anytime, anywhere.

 

 

Ideafoster’s Collaboration: Enhancing the Platform with AI


At Ideafoster, we worked alongside the ZAS! Jobs team to develop the AI infrastructure and technology that power this platform. This collaboration has enabled the creation of a solution that not only improves efficiency but also marks the beginning of a new era of digitalization in the sector.

In addition, together with partners such as La Magnética, we have implemented a digital marketing strategy that helps ZAS! Jobs connect with its target audience. Through campaigns, social media management, content marketing, and visual production, we support ZAS! Jobs in ensuring its value proposition reaches those who need it most.

This project has allowed us to partner with companies like ZAS! Jobs, La Magnética, Creating Sensations Hostels, and TycheTools, strengthening our collective capabilities and generating synergies that deliver value for all stakeholders. We are proud to be part of initiatives that not only transform industries but also build bridges and empower the talent of SMEs and micro-enterprises in a sector so vital to Spain.
